Logan, A One Woman Show (Because only one of us survived)
It is often said that we express our trauma through our creative endeavours, and this Edinburgh Fringe show is exactly that!
We've been hugely lucky to get a slot at Gilded Balloon's Patter Hoose for a two week run, and have crossed our fingers and booked the slot! Please show your support, however big or small, and help us get there without starving or running out of petrol half way up the M6!

Logan, A One Woman Show (Because only one of us survived)
It is often said that we explore our trauma through our creative endeavours, and this Edinburgh Fringe show is very literally dark, comedic trauma brought to life through an incredibly brave performance.
True Detective meets The Good Place, this show will keep you on your toes and keep you guessing.
We've been incredibly lucky to secure a world premiere of 'Logan' at Gilded Balloon's iconic Patter Hoose, and have done everything we can to get this across the line, any support you can offer no matter how big or small would be amazing to support this show in getting to the Fringe!
The story
Before we get into the detail, please note this is an artistic coping mechanism. Whilst this is inspired by true events it is shown from the perspective of a fictitious character and names, locales and events have been altered. Any resemblance to actual events or locales or persons, living or dead, is entirely coincidental.
Trigger/caution warnings: Grief, murder, drug and substance abuse.
And now with the legal mumbo jumbo out the way, onto the story...
This one woman show is based on the true story of my brother's murder so of course, it is a comedy. I know it sounds dark, but I can’t think of a better way to honour my brother’s memory. Logan: A One Woman Show (Because only one of us survived) is funny, raw and an exploration of all the ways he was failed; by the legal system, by addiction and mental health services and by his family.
We follow the main character, Living Sibling, as she invites funeral attendees (yes, the audience) to hear the story of Logan's life and death. The only problem is there are three different versions of events and Living Sibling has no idea which to believe. The fire marshals report is all wrong, the police have tampered with the evidence and the rental agency is trying to sue for damages. I'm sure you'll agree this is the perfect setup for a macabre Game Show, complete with prize money, as Living Sibling quizzes the audience on an array of general knowledge - from the Criminal Code of Canada to increasingly ridiculous questions exploring addiction, dysfunction and coping with grief. What are you waiting for?! You could be our next winner!
About the team
Sierra Callaghan
Writer/performer Sierra Callaghan is an award winning Canadian actor and the Executive Producer and Head Writer at BAFTA award winning independent film company Gothic Manor.
After completing two honours degrees in Sciences and Education concurrently from the University of Toronto, Sierra relocated to the UK to begin a career teaching Biology. The incredible engagement her students exhibited in the classroom with their never ending questions prompted her to create a science based TikTok page called CallaghansQuestions, which quickly amassed more than 170,000 followers. Sierra's goal for her followers is not just to educate but to foster a community of kindness, inclusion and respect dedicated to breaking down stigmas and barriers. She encourages learning while promoting a message of radical self acceptance and the mantra that 'there is no room for shame when growing your brain'.
Sierra then completed a Masters Degree in Film and Media in association with Raindance Film Festival and went on to write, produce and act in several short films, web series and television.
This is Sierra's first big return to stage since participating in Canada's Sears Drama Festival and The Sync Afrique Experience; the largest African Cultural Show in Mississauga Canada.

How you can help
When Sierra first told Ray they wanted to bring this true story, and very recently trauma, to the Edinburgh Fringe, Ray knew Sierra shouldn't tackle their first fringe solo. That is an intense enough experience as a writer/performer. Add on the emotional heart of this piece and Ray couldn't let Sierra go it alone. We're super excited to bring this to the Fringe and believe it to be a truly great show, but sadly neither of us are nepo-babies who can self fund this. We've scraped together what we can and have been truly blessed to get such an iconic venue for Sierra's Fringe debut, but we need your help getting this across the line.
Your support will help with the big, boring bits that aren't quite as juicy as the story but are truly important to make this happen:
- Venue hire Venues cost money, who knew? (Seems unfair)
- Advertising The Fringe is massively popular and as such, overly competitive. So please help us advertise so we don't perform into an empty void.
- Travel, accommodation and living expenses Even eating nothing but jacket potatoes and Irn Bru adds up across a two week run.
- Boring but necessary things like Public Liability Insurance and accounting fees The stressful, expensive part of living the freelance dream.
